Description
Kādiriyye was the first and most widespread Islamic sect, attributed to Abdülkādir-i Geylânî (ö. 561/1165-66); formed in the 12th century, concentrated near Iraq, but spread widely since; Geylânî started to preach and train students in a madrasah in 1127; his many children continued his path in the order
