Nikolaus, von Klemptzen, approximately 1504-1552
Nikolaus von Klempzen was a land rent master and historian. Around 1527 he became a secretary in the princely chancellery in Szczecin. in 1532, he served Duke Philip I of Pomerania-Wolgast and in 1535 he was given the office of land rent master in Pomerania-Wolgast for eight years. In 1540 he received a benefice of Cammin Cathedral for three years. In 1547, he was given the administration of the Stolpe office, which he held for four years. He is most known for supporting, compiling, and publishing the history of Pomerania written and prepared by Thomas Kantzow.
