Moreau, Nicolas-François, 1716?-1773
Bookseller to the Queen and bookseller-printer to the Dauphin. He was the son of the Parisian printer-bookseller Jean-François Moreau (ca. 1684-1751). Received as a bookseller on January 27, 1742. He was the son-in-law (December, 1746) of the Parisian bookseller Pierre-Michel Huart. He succeeded his mother, Catherine-Françoise Pépie, widow of Jean-François Moreau, as printer on November 10, 1751. Noted to be 35 years old on January 1, 1752. He died in Paris on March, 2, 1773. Known to have worked in association with his father-in-law Pierre-Michel Huart from approximately 1747 to 1764.
